More than 20 Slovenian high-tech companies have set up the economic interest association Technology Forum (Slovenian Technology Forum, expected from autumn). According to the president of the association, Andraž Logar, the idea began to be discussed almost a decade ago, but intensively again last year.

Slovenian high-tech companies, including Zemanta, Mediately and Silicon Gardens, say: “In order for Slovenia to remain a welfare state, it will urgently need a new development model.

The members of the Technology Forum warn that due to the ageing of the population, Slovenia will need 2.8 billion euros by 2040.
